p.e. no.10 - Super Tour
A group of about seventy back country ski racers came through town this morning. The first of them made it from the trail head to Gothic in twenty minutes. The same distance takes me an hour and twenty minutes to cross. billy wanted to form a caretaker gauntlet; throwing rocks, sticks, and withering insults at these speed devils in envious protest... It took some doing, but I talked him out of it.

Is that the cross country race that goes from Crested Butte to Aspen? I cannot remember what it is called - my brother did it one year! Very intense! Christy
